An excerpt from the Diary of Illustra Mistique:

I am faced with the destruction of our world, this place I have fondly come
to call Home - Moral Decay. Sitting at the bar in the Velvet Unicorn I recall
my first encounter here - Xavia stripping on the bar for the drooling regulars,
not two feet from where I am now writing. *laugh* Now THAT brings back a flood
of memories! So much has subtley been changing; the undercurrents of
corruption and unrest spreading throughout the Realm - the Gods are angry.
I remember hiding, being ever so careful to avoid the pker's - never standing still
and smiling at _everyone!_ I think it was the smiling that started the rumours.
People started to spread the idea that I was a flirt. Mind you, I am - but I
knew the others had finally caught on when everyone started calling me
Lusty..."
Darkmage Stormbringer
Darkmage Stormbringer stepped into the world of Moral Decay as a fledgeling
mudder. However, his eyes were opened quickly when he lost his innocence to
Bruce: the first of many notorious pker's to kill Darkmage 20+ times before
he even reached level 6! You see, Darkmage earned his title "hides in the
night," as at this tender and naive age he was often mistaken for an older
infamous mage: Darkmaster. Were it not for the inspiration and help of such
noble friends as Fett, Dain, Skral, and numerous others; Darkmage might have
given up. As persistent and determined as Darkmage became, after the pking
had slowed and he more than doubled his levels, he died multiple deaths to the
wicked Villain's walls. Thus, Darkmage shelved his spellbook for a later date
and retired to the stately job of assisting the Lovely Ayla and the Lady
Jaelle in the upkeep of their beloved guild Excalibur. So, if you notice this
midbie mage in days to come slipping in between cities, darting in and out of
the shadows with a shield spell eternally being cast, treat him with respect -
he has had a long hard life and is wise beyond his level.
