This is the southern part of the main tunnel. To the north you see light
coming in from a large chamber, to the south you see utter darkness. The
water along the east wall runs slowly south. The walkway here is fairly
wide, and only a few inches above the level of the sewer water.

it flows east where the passageway begins to slope downward. There are
some scratches on the walls just a short distance from the top of the
slope. It appears as if something large with long sharp claws has been
trapped to the east, but has not managed to escape.

uneven surface as if something large has been scratching away at them.
You are slowly losing your foot hold due to the steepness of the slope and
the slippery floor caused by the water flowing eastward.

> Much of the water that flows in the sewers eventually runs down into
this small pool of collected waste products. As you look around, you see a
small, circular hole in the ceiling of the room. You wonder what it might
be for. You notice some scratches on the wall that look quite similar to
the ones from the previous room. You start to wonder what evil creature
might be lurking in the shadows so deep into the sewers.

> This is the entrance to a large cave. The air is heavy with moisture, and
you are having difficulty breathing. You see numerous tracks on the ground
and trace them to the middle of the entrance.

You have enterd a dark cave that is inhabited by giant lizards. As you
look around you notice more body parts and skeletons scattered all over
the floor. An unusually round boulder rests in a depression in the floor
near the east wall and, strangely, a breeze seems to sigh into the room from
around the boulder. The smell of decaying flesh is making you very dizzy,
and you feel as if you are going to vomit!

boulder begins to fall back, making you hurry into a tunnel east.
A boulder to the west seals the entrance to this natural tunnel. Rough
torches made with old rags doused in fat and wrapped around a stick, line
the walls about four feet from the ground, giving the tunnel eastwards a
warm yellow glow. Large flat rocks have been placed here in a circle
around a smooth, cleared area of the floor. Sets of triangles have been
scratched into the rock floor and pebbles placed within many as pieces
in some strange game. Wooden cups and bowls and other signs of recent
use lie scattered around. A gentle wind sighs through from the tunnel
continuing to the east. West is a boulder.

look around you notice more body parts and skeletons scattered all over

near the east wall and, strangely, a breeze seems to sigh into the room from
around the boulder. The smell of decaying flesh is making you very dizzy,
and you feel as if you are going to vomit!

This is the entrance to a large cave. The air is heavy with moisture, and
you are having difficulty breathing. You see numerous tracks on the ground
and trace them to the middle of the entrance.

this small pool of collected waste products. As you look around, you see a
small, circular hole in the ceiling of the room. You wonder what it might
be for. You notice some scratches on the wall that look quite similar to

might be lurking in the shadows so deep into the sewers.

uneven surface as if something large has been scratching away at them.
You are slowly losing your foot hold due to the steepness of the slope and
the slippery floor caused by the water flowing eastward.

it flows east where the passageway begins to slope downward. There are
some scratches on the walls just a short distance from the top of the
slope. It appears as if something large with long sharp claws has been

coming in from a large chamber, to the south you see utter darkness. The
water along the east wall runs slowly south. The walkway here is fairly
wide, and only a few inches above the level of the sewer water.

This large chamber is about 50 feet in diameter. The roof is a massive
dome, with a grating at the top. Rusty, yet sturdy iron rungs form a
ladder leading upwards to the grating, which is slightly ajar. The sides
of the room are lined with several exits, the exits to the north, south,
east and west appear to be normal tunnels, however the exits to the
southwest and southeast are lit, and the sounds of moving creatures alerts
you of their presence...

The main tunnel continues southward into a large, well-lit room.
There is a large crack in the east wall, through which a steady flow
of black, sickly smelling water pours. The water hits the floor and
trails off to the north.

and you think you may be near its source. You hear the sound of rushing

creating small puddles throughout the entire room. In one wall leans a rusty
grating that appears to have been pried open from the ground by some unknown
